I'm planning to buy a Palm Connect Usb Kit for my IIIxe. Does it speed up
the HotSync action or is it as slow as the serial?

I did not notice any increase in speed on my IIIxe.

Humm, but I've heard that PalmOS 4.1 supports a faster connection with Usb.
I've got OS4.1

It remains at the same serial speed since it's limited by the serial port in the
lllxe. The USB kit is mainly for people like me whose computers have no serial
port.

If you're using Windows XP, I wouldn't recommend it. It won't be recognized
when you boot up the computer with it plugged into the USB port, and if you
remove it while it is recognized and the computer is running, it will crash
Windows. It also uses unsigned drivers.
