Does anyone know of, or use a program that will sync with either Palm
Desktop or Outlook (without an Exchange server) in this manner? I'll
switch programs, if that's necessary.
Thanks for any help,

Nope. I hate Outlook. I use Gmail for 90% of email. I only use the Palm
desktop for backing up and editing/inputting contacts (easier on keyboard
than on tiny Treo keys) and to install programs. I do Google Calendar on
the desktop (I'm always online), then use www.goosync.com to sync google
calendar to my Treo. You can sign up and get one free calender to sync or
get a paid account and have multiple calenders to sync.
For email, again I use Google Mail and access it through my mobile
browser at www.m.gmail.com I set up my Treo Versamail to send through
Gmail so it's easy to email pix, videos, etc or any other attachments but
usually do Gmail through the browser. I have a Treo 700p.
Best of luck!

Oh I should have read earlier in the thread. I share my calendar with two
other business partners. We are Realtors and we use 9 different calenders
(Our own personal calenders plus our Assistant which equals 4,
Possessions, Business Appointments, Buyer Appointments, Listing
Appointments & Follow-ups) . We have read/write privileges for all the
Google calenders so whenever one person edits the the schedule/
appointment, we can all see it. You can set up goosync to sync every 15
mins if you want IF you have the bandwidth. Again I wish you luck & let
me know how you make out.
Cheers!

Mike,
Thanks so much for the info.
I, too, have always hated Outlook, and have never used it. I've used
Palm Desktop only for about the last 10 years. Admittedly, it lacks for
email addresses, but I've managed.
My partner and I have Treo 700p's, and need to get better at
coordinating schedules. The questions I'd have would be:
Goosync can synchronize more than one Google Calendar?
Any glitches when you synchronize your Palm to PC after all the Google
Calendar/goosync synchronizations?
The first time you synchronize with goosync, does it import your Treo
calendar into Google Calendar?
Do you forward your business gmail through a domain account to give the
business address (Mi...@realtor.com, instead of gmail.com)?
Do you have any concerns over future proofing your Palm info? I have
real misgivings about the longevity of the little OS I've used for so long.
That's about all I can think of right now.
Again, thanks very much for your the great help!
Daniel

Me too! I like Thunderbird. Being a linux user, I also use Kmail
I've used

Me? Only over a year but should have gotten aboard years ago

Yes, like I said I sync 9 every day but you need to subscribe. I signed
up and wrote off the minimal business cost on taxes

Nope. Everything is all synced. Gcal, Palm desktop and Treo

Yes. It's very cool

Using Gmail, I have my reply set up to my website address so whenever the
person clicks "Reply" to my email, it goes thru my website then it's
forwarded to my Gmail. Very easy.

Well, try to backup daily. If you can, backup to 2 different PC's
