trying to find a replacement for Forte agent...is this it?

I have used forte agent and easynews for a lot of years.
Now that I have an 18MB connection this is not working any more.
Speeds are slow and all over the place. I have tried some others and
they are faster ( I assume that agent can't use enough connections to
sustain thruput )

I dl the newsbin free trial but it is expired on the first day.
Poor demo

is there any other programs that compare to them?

Ask on the Newsbin forums (forums.newsbin.com). They will gladly help.
Newsbin is designed for downloading binaries - it has limited
capabilities for text and for posting.
