Alignment is fine and the first check prints fine (continous mode) but the
next check starts a line lower, with the next check amother line lower.
I've use the LQ line of epson printers for the last 7-8 years and I don't
think Ive ever had this problem before.
Any help would be appreciated.

Set up an impact or dot matrix printer:
Continuous-feed printers are printers that print on a continuous sheet
of paper. A tractor mechanism engages the holes along the edge of the
sheet and pulls the paper through the printer. You tear off individual
pages as the paper comes out of the printer.
Most dot matrix printers are continuous-feed printers. Some dot matrix
printers, however, are page-oriented printers because they print on
individual sheets of paper that are fed in from a paper tray.
1 Choose File menu > Printer Setup > For Printing Checks.
2 Select your printer from the Printer list.
3 Choose Continuous. You can change other settings now, too.
4 Choose the Check style you're using.
5 For a continuous printer that skips checks or prints nothing, try
selecting Bypass the driver. If the date or your logo gets cut off, try
clearing the Use low starting position check box.
6 Click OK.
7 Be sure the printer is turned on, is online, and is loaded with blank
paper or a sample check.
8 Click Align, and one of these two windows appears (depending on your
printer):
Coarse Alignment
Fine Alignment
Follow the directions below depending on which window appears.
Coarse Alignment:
Coarse Alignment moves the checks to the correct starting position in
your printer. Quicken doesn't remember or change any settings from the
Coarse Alignment process.
1 Choose Coarse from the Use 'Coarse' for Big Vertical Adjustments
window.
Quicken displays a message about not adjusting your printer.
2 Click OK to print a sample check.
3 Enter the Pointer Line Position.
4 When the check is positioned correctly, you'll see the Please Note
Position window.
Fine Alignment:
1 Click Print Sample in the Fine Alignment window.
If you've run out of the sample checks that came with Quicken, you can
print sample checks on blank paper. After printing a sample, place it on
top of the real check and hold them both up to the light to see if the
text printed correctly.
2 Examine the dollar amount Quicken printed on the check. If it isn't
within the alignment grid, make sure your paper is feeding correctly
through your printer.
3 Enter your adjustments in the Vertical and Horizontal fields, using
the grid to estimate the distances.
4 Click Print Sample again to test whether you have corrected the
alignment problem.
5 If you're satisfied with the alignment, click OK. If not, repeat steps
4 and 5.
