Just upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium, using Quicken 2008 Premium.
Everything seems to work except when I try to print a report to the Quicken
PDF printer. At first I was getting the message "Printer not activated
Code -20". After messing around, now it comes up with a box saying "Printing
to Quicken PDF Printer on LPT1.", and a little box below containing
"Cancel". Also a box appears with "Output File Name". At this point the
computer is hung up with the hourglass showing, and no response to clicking
anywhere. Have to shut it down with the power button. The computer is an
XPS420. Have reinstalled Quicken with no change. Have found a few
suggestions on the Quicken communities forum and the Amyuni forum, but
haven' solved the problem. Used to work fine on Vista. Have also tried my
generic PDF program (doPDF7) which works OK on regular documents but which
also hangs up the computer when used with Quicken. Wonder if anyone else on
Windows 7 is having this problem?

Update: Found a work-around - running Quicken as administrator solved the
problem. I am logged on as an administrator, but that isn't enough. Have to
actually "run as administrator" to get it to work. Put a checkmark in the
compatibility tab in the shortcut to always run it that way.

Replace it or add PDFCreator from SourceForge.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator/

I *highly* recommend it and I also use Adobe Acrobat Professional.

I completely agree on PDF Creator. Super program and free. I used to use
CutePDF, but I find PDF Creator to be faster and better...

Another option would be to right click on the Q executable. and select
the "Troubleshoot compatibility" option. W7 will then analyze the
application and attempt to run it in the mode the program expects. I've
used it several times with good success...

Thanks Hank -- I also had the Quicken PDF problem after it was
originally working in win7 and stopped today. "Troubleshoot
Compatibility" worked perfectly.

Happy New Year to all.
