Problem with Q2009 R7.

I am seeing different behavior on an XP machine and a Vista
machine.
Say I have two accounts, Savings with $1000 and Checking
with $5000. On the Calendar, I enter a transfer from
Checking to Savings of $1000, to occur, say, on next
Wednsday. The Calendar is set to show Total Balance in both
accounts in the lower right corner of each day. The Graph
is set to show both accounts.
On the XP machine, the entry displayed on the Calendar shows
no amount. On the Vista machine it shows -$1000.
On the XP machine, the Total Balance shown on the Calender
remains at $6000 before, on, and after the day of the
transfer. The individual account amounts shown on the Graph
change appropriately, and the Total Balance does not change.
On the Vista machine. the Total Balance shown on the
Calendar changes from $5000 to $4000 on the day of the
transfer. The individual account amounts shown on the Graph
change appropriately, and the Total Balance does not change.
On the Vista machine, if I open the transfer and click on
the ENTER button, then the Total Balance shown on the
Calendar correctly displays $6000 before, on, and after the
day of the transfer.
It appears that on the Vista machine, the pending deposit to
Savings is not accounted for, but the pending withdrawal
from Checking is tracked.
When 2006 was installed on both machines this problem did
not occur.
Is their some preference or option that is set differently
on the two machines? Any help appreciated!
