Using Q H7B 2006.

I have always been able to use Web Connect to download my MBNA Credit Card
statements into Quicken. However, when Bank of America bought MBNA and I had
to switch over to their new web site on Monday, downloads stopped working
altogether.

Downloads QFX FIle, but import results in error--unable to verify the
financial institution information.

Deactivated online access, changed financial institution to BOA All Other
States, still get same error.

Has anybody had ANY luck downloading transactions from B of A, particularly
people converted over from MBNA.

I think they have problems. Although I have enabled their Website, it
was hell to determine what state I opened the account in. Their
Website is slow and I can't download from it. I have disable popup
blockers, everything I can think of. I still am not able to see a
statement from their site. My old BA items are okay though. I just
think they are still going through growing pains and hopefully it will
settle down soon.

I had the same problem. I'm able to see the statements on my 2 former MBNA accounts on BoA's
award-winning web site and even download the QFX file for my latest statement. Following the
instructions on BoA's award-winning web site on deactivating the MBNA online services in
Quicken, associating the accounts to BoA, and reenabling the accounts resulted in failure.
Double clicking the downloaded QFX file also doesn't work. According to BoA's (apparently
non-award winning) telephone tech support, former MBNA account holders have to wait for a
full cycle for the online downloads to work. Curiously, they define a full cycle as that
point where *two* native BoA statements have been received for the former MBNA account.

So, now we former MBNAers have the benefit of "improved" paper statements (defined as a very
small font fuzzily printed on Soviet-era bathroom tissue grade paper with all sections of the
statement placed as closely together as possible) and no access to downloadabe statements for
the next two months.

This transition is incredibly poor even for the banking business - more appropriate for Billy
Bob's Savings and Piggy Bank than a large bank like BoA. Personally, I'll probably not be a
BoA customer anymore by the time they get this mess straightened out.

<snip>

I'm not prepared to go as far as quitting BOA as I have too much history in
too many accounts but have considered sitting on my ex-MBNA Cards for awhile
to see what happens.
I agree it seems very poorly handled.

I am a member of SunTrust Bank who a couple of years ago chose MBNA to
"administer" their credit card accounts. Like you said, the last time I
looked at my account, I to was switched over to BOA. The BOA did not
recognize my ID & PW and after several attempts and not wanting to input all
my account info SSAN etc I decided to call SunTrust Customer Service. They
informed me that they chose not to use BOA but rather directed me to
fiacardservices. Tried that, all the info was there and was able to DL
transactions.

I have two MBNA cards, a MasterCard and a Visa, that switched to Bank of
America. The change was transparent to me. The website had not changed, and
webconnect still worked when I last downloaded in September.

The month is up and so it is time to d/l the October statement. I'll post
back if I have any probs (gonna have to wait till end-of-day, as personal
stuff is all at home).

Nope. Although I am informed that I can use my MBNA account on BOA site, it
wont let me. I also cannot create a new account because it tells me that I
already have an account. :-(

Back to manual entry for a while... I hope this works itself out.

Quit!

The Chase Freedom card looks like a great deal right now in terms of
cash back. Anc chase has direct connect download - you can get your
transactions into quicken as soon as they are posted.

I have two MBNA Visa Cards that are now BOA.
One is now functional - I was able to connect to the BOA site and access and
download it.
The other one, apparently, got lost in the shuffle.
It's not on the site.
I presume that I'll have to go back to Support and ask where it is.
Earlier when I asked the response was basically "...we're having issues
please be patient..."
So for now, one down one to go.

Last week BOA told me MBNA was broken with respect to quicken web
connect. They told me I had to wait until activate worked.

Today, activate still broken, they told me to log onto the web and to
a quicken download (last week quicken download failed!). Today, it
worked, and quicken now thinks the account is activated! Go figure.

Yeah that's basically what happened with my one MBNA CC.
Yesterday, anyway, it did do a connect/download okay.
Now all I have to do is have them locate my other card.
We'll see...
