Stuck in "continue" mode

Long story short. Kid turned off my computer with data files open. Nextime I
opened Quicken, it asked if I was 1st time user, saind not and opened my
data file. Nothing worked. I restored form backup, still nothing. I
re-installed. Got things working, but now on my download, some large number
of older transactions are there (both CC's and Banking). I manually go
thourhg them all and either delete or accept. Now I am at a point where I
have matched all the transactions and hit "continue", the screen flashes and
I am back to a "0 of 0 accepted" and the continue option shown again.

Any ideas as to how to get this thing to move to the next step?
