I still haven't seen any worthy TT/Q2010 deals. I'll hold off for a few
more days but may hold my nose and jump in... which should guarantee
forthcoming deals for the rest of you holdouts. :)

I just can't resist. If you are looking on TT/Q2010 deals, you'll have to
wait at least a year. I think you meant TT/Q2009. The product is always
named for the applicable Tax Year, not the calendar year in which you file
the return.

Oh yes, to address your main question, I am NOT aware of any specials, but
you may try Sam's Club, Costco, etc. depending on what store is available in
your area. They always seem to have the best prices out of the gate. I
haven't seen any specials yet at Staples or Office Depot.

I hope you don't mind, to much, letting me have my "jollies".

You may have your jollies, but on this, you really should have resisted
and re-read what was written. Quicken 2010 is what is being sold right
now. It would be Turbo Tax 2009 though.

IIRC those deals appear in Staples in late January. 1099s must be
received by Jan 31, so I expect the tax laws could change up 'til
then. TurboTax would be updated to reflect any changes.

Jim, you are absolutely correct. I got so focused on the "TT" that I
completely missed the "Q" in Q2010.

Usually you can get a discounted deal on TT through vanguard or
fidelity if you have an account with them. My bank even gives
discounts.

My bank is offering a "deal" for TurboTax. Unfortunately it's only for the
online version.

Same here. I prefer to keep that stuff locally on my own PC and/or
laptop.

I bought it from Costco last week. ~$50 for TTDeluxe Fed and State.
Naturally, I get a flyer in the mail from Costco today with a $10 off
coupon for it.

Of course you did, same when I got mine at Sam's Club.

I'm hoping someone will repeal Murphy's Law but it's never going to
happen.... <G>

Heh. I can't believe all the deals I now see for TTD and Q10. I knew my
purchase timing was prophetic!

Y'all just wait for me to post that I bought and you can count on the deals
emerging a week later!

costco.com will give you that $10 off, no need for coupon.
But you have to pay shipping of about $5 ?
