Thanks in advance!

As far as I know, I can only use "Web Connect". It seems to work fine.
Is there any particular reason you don't want/like Web connect? I
didn't like it at first, but it seems to work OK. Better than nothing.

Anthony - I currently have a First USA Visa card, and it offers both
download methods. The Web Connect works fine, but there are a couple of
extra steps that you have to go through to perform it. When you use the
direct connect feature, it's basically just one click and everything else is
automatic.
Thanks for the information.

"Direct downloading and automatic updates through Quicken are only
available if you have a Chase checking account and at an additional
cost"
Interesting. Citibank doesn't seem to have any problem supporting direct
download for Credit Cards. Like you, they have chosen to charge a fee for
checking account direct download, but credit card direct download isn't
contingent upon buying this service.
Fidelity is able to offer direct download for all my accounts (brokerage,
checking, money market ....) all without additional fees. My American
Express and Discover credit cards all have direct download without the need
for additional services or fees.
I get a new credit card offer every other day, literally! Making it easy
for me to to use my cards and keep track of my expenses is VERY important to
me in my selection of cards. This feature (direct download) is more
important to me than rewards programs or interest rates. For several years
my primary credit card was the Travelers Quicken Visa because, at the time,
it was the only card that had this direct download feature. Now that other
competitors have started offering cards that have direct download AND
additional features and rewards I find that I am using the Quicken card
infrequently and using the other cards (Am Exp Blue, Citibank Click Citi,
Citibank Upromise, Am Exp Gold) more often.
Without Direct Download I'm afraid that my Chase card may soon find itself
migrating from my wallet to my desk drawer to eventual obscurity.
Web connect download or QIF format download do give me the info that I want
but at the cost of many additional computer steps.
1. I have to use a web browser to get to your site.
2. I have to log on to the site (and remember my ID and password).
3. I have to access my account.
4. I have to navigate to a download page
5. I have t download the account data
6. I have to import it into Quicken.
Then I have to repeat the process for EVERY credit card supplier I do
business with. UGGH! With direct download I get all my financial
information from EVERY supplier I do business with with ONE SINGLE CLICK
from inside Quicken. Quicken takes care of retaining my ID, my password and
contacting all the sites. I just don't have the time to bother with doing
steps 1-6 for all of my many financial services providers.
Please let me know if you change your policy in the future. I might be
inclined to use Chase services again.

I've made my decision on considering a MBNA Card, which isn't favorable to
MBNA. :)
Thanks!

I doubt you can do this exclusively from Quicken; I think what you
want is to have your credit card company setup an automatic EFT
from your bank each month. I do not know whether MBNA provides
that service or not - one of my credit card companies does and
another does not.

The above is possible (and I have) with my Private Issue Discover. I wanted
either a Visa or MC card with same setup since not all take Discover.

USAA master card (Visa too, I suppose) does this.

Basically, my main card is Discover. It has very nice integration nto
Quicken, and I like the "smartpayment" from the Discover website. Now if
it could only schedule a payment for a particular day ...
