Qicken 2014 release 8
Windows 10

I downloaded release 9 and now each time I open Quicken I get a message asking if I want to update Quicken before starting it. When I hit Yes I get an error message. I have been reading in this forum about Mondo patches, but do not know if this is appropriate for Quicken 2014 and, if so, which site I should use to get it. Thanks for any advise.

I had the same problem and the Mondo patch fixed the issue.

You can get it here
http://www.quicken.com/support/help/GEN82197

Just pick the correct year and which patch you want.

I have the same problem. I've downloaded both the R9 patch and mondo
patch but haven't tied either yet. I found update.log in C:\ProgramData
\Intuit\Quicken\Log\ and the patch files get left behind in
Patch Exe path: C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Quicken\INET\COMMON\PATCH\Update\

So maybe if you just move those files out of there (don't delete them in
case it blows up Quicken) that at least would stop the "upgrade" popup
when launching Quicken. Or maybe downloading and running that patch
program will clean it out for us.

Thanks to all who suggested that I use the Mondo patch and especially to Jeffrey who told me where to find it. I went to the suggested site and it was very easy to download and install it in minutes. (I was away which is why it took me so long to acknowledge the respones to my email.)
