Will I need to purchase W2's & W3's from a Staples type store for submission
to the IRS or will QB's printed forms work?

QB's printed w2 & w3 will work just fine. The employee w2 is *supposed* to
be printed on perforated paper with the instructions printed on the back. I
purchase the perforated blank paper for the employee copy and use regular
plain paper for the other forms. I know some accountants skip the perforated
paper and let the employee use sissors if they are actually sending in a
1040 return. I buy a supply of 50 sheets every couple of years from Tenenz
http://www.taxaid-inc.com/ because Staples, etc do not carry the perforated
paper. I also get the special sized security envelopes from them to mail the
forms out.

You will need to get preprinted 1099s, 1096 forms and envelopes if you need
to send those out to vendors. The IRS still requires the red forms that can
not be printed with QB.
