craftr30.zip Web Crafter: HTML Edit, Web browse, FTP. Free
Web Crafter v3.0, previously HTML Crafter Express, is an HTML editor
with a menu with HTML tags, a toolbar with common HTML tags and tasks,
and features such as a color-to-HEX coverter, webpage wizard, and more.
Web Crafter also includes a built-in web browser for viewing documents
(can use external one, if set to), and a built-in FTP client for
uploading and downloading to and from FTP sites.
Special requirements: VB5 runtime modules (available from Simtel.Net as
vb500a.zip); IE 3.0 or later.
Changes: File Explorer Bar (docked on either side of main window;
quickly browse and open documents); new splashes and logos:
blue, not red; more settings added to preferences; name
changed to "Web Crafter" from HTML Crafter; more settings
(including one to use exernal browser); now has a built-in FTP
client for uploading/downloading; redesigned toolbar (new,
flat style and moved buttons into appropriate groups); new
"blue-style" buttons used, rather than Windows-style buttons.

Pro Pick is a NFL tracking and forecasting tool. It comes preloaded
with the 2000 season schedule and starting statistics -- all you need
to do is enter scores after the games are played or download the latest
stats each week from the author's site. The program will make
predictions based on performance. You can adjust the weighting factors
for offense/defense as well as how quickly the program reacts to a
team's performance. Reports let you check weekly results, predictions,
result by team or division, and more. Team ratings are graphed
throughout the season to show the trends. You can modify schedules if
necessary, with a simple graphical interface and generate predictions
for preseason and post season contests.
Special requirements: VB60 Runtimes must be installed first (available
from Simtel.Net as simvb6-5.zip).

icrop110.zip InstaCropper v1.1: Automatically crops images
InstaCropper is an image processing utility that crops unneeded parts
of scanned images automatically. It automatically crops white
backgrounds. Scanned images in a directory are batch processed to crop
non-image areas and only true image areas are saved into files in a
destination directory. Noise filtering is supported so that non-image
areas with small dots are automatically cropped. For the filtering,
filter size and threshold can be adjusted. Supported image types are
jpeg, bmp and tga.

NewsPro is a newsreader with strong multiple news server support. All
articles of a particular newsgroup for all news servers are displayed
in a single list. Every newsgroup may be viewed in different views,
each view with its own message filter. Message filters can be saved
and subsequently applied to any newsgroup window. Fastest news servers
are chosen for downloading articles. Many articles are downloaded at
the same time from different news servers in a transparent way.
NewsPro supports displaying jpeg images and launching applications for
other types of attachments. Straightforward support for multipart
messages. Easy posting; an option to repost selected attachments or
selected parts of previously posted messages. Saving and editing
previously posted messages. Retrieving newsgroup lists. Global
message filters for operation on database as a whole. Export and

pingev20.zip Ping Monitor v2.0: Network Diagnostic Tool
Ping Monitor is used for trouble shooting TCP/IP connected computers.
The program allows the user to create a list of IP addresses then
periodically ping each computer at a user specified time interval. If
the host computer fails to reply to a ping request, the program can
trigger different alert messages and alarms; including e-mail, run
third-party programs, or communicate serially or over the network to a
remote computer. Also, the program can perform a full traceroute and
who is domain name search to assist in identifying which network node
is causing the bottleneck. Additionally, the program displays a time
and date stamp of the minimum, maximum, and average ping Round-Trip
Times (RTT). The application calculates the standard deviation of the
ping RTTs at specified time intervals. Also, the program provides
real-time graphing of 4 host computers. The program runs as minimized
system tray program.
