Hello, I am wondering if anyone has any info or useful links abour
CharWare.
Not sure if I have the term right, but basically, it means selling a
shareware-like app with all proceeds going to charity. I am especially
interested about legal aspects.

I have found that CharWare is a great way to go, for example if you
have an application that has very low sales, or would give something
to the community and don't think freeware is the best option to do so.

Btw. if someone has an application with low sales that they do not
want to provide support for, or if someone would like to go the
CharWare way and don't want to do support, please email me. I would be
happy to do so instead of you. I am open to any discussion.

I have just started at http://www.timeplant.com and the proceedings
are going to support one of the poorest nations, Banabans, living on
Rabi and Banaba islands, recently struck by large cyclon, more about
them at www.banaban.com . It will be turned into official project at
another website soon.

Thanks and best regards,

Tomas

Try npware.org, and npsoft.org. "NP" meaning non-profit (or
not-for-profit).

These are more useful if you would like to sell your software to
charities, than if you would like to use proceedings from your
software to go to support charity. There were some very good links on
these sites, anyway. Thanks !
