Any suggestions. My MP3 player works as a stand alone - or plugged into the
USB port of my hi-fi - but my PC will no longer recognise it - it asks me to
Format it. I am reluctant because the music is not backed up. (I only had a
small hard drive at the time and needed the space)

Properties shows it as Blue (empty)
Is there any way I can extract the music files and start again?
