Greetings to the Group,
I’m hoping someone here can give me some advice on how to accomplish
something. I think I have a small rodent problem. He only comes out
when nobody is around and has treated any baited traps as his own
private supermarket. I want to know who he is! Question: what would
be the cheapest, easiest way to catch him in the act digitally? What
I would like is a system whereby a simple camera (maybe a web cam?) is
set up and linked (by wire is OK) to my PC to record the activity
during the night and store it on the PC for viewing next day. Low
level lighting could be left on. This would be a one-off use driven
by curiosity so cheapness is a consideration. What would I need?
What kind of hardware could be used? Would I need any dedicated
software?
Many thanx

Well, you could always resort to a Ratzapper. It will certainly tell
you who the visitor is, but not in the delicate and unobtrusive manner
desired.

However, the low light performance is perfect and the credibility of the
evidence is beyond question 8-)

www.ratzapper.com is the website, I'm merely a satisfied customer.
