Any one now why this should be or is it down to just poor drivers ?

Make sure in the G2s settings that you disable the Vsync in the OpenGL
settings otherwise the FPS is tied you monitor's refresh and mines at 75
Mhz so it wouldn't be able to go above this.If you have Via Chipset you
need the 4 in 1 drivers package as well to get full AGP support.
