Why? So they can compete for the bux of whiny, demanding 15yo's like ATI
and the Nvidia makers?

Start looking at the competition. I doubt they would ever make a viable
high end gamers card. They tried and it was named the Parhelia. I think
people who have a Matrox GXXX right now are not gamers and would not likely
upgrade unless they want multiple heads, so Matrox is in a bind. Either
produce a card that will attract gamers to upgrade and bring in new revenue
or continue in the 2D market that they have already saturated... anybody who
wanted a Matrox card for 2D already has one.

I doubt gamers would be interested in stripped down versions of Parhelia.

Unfortunately never IMHO. ATI is light years ahead of Matrox and NVidia may
never recover from their latest fiasco.

What can Matrox do 3D graphics-wise that ATI and Nvidia are not already
doing? Howerver, Matrox does do 2D graphics stuff (DH Zoom, PixelTOUCH)
that ATI and Nvideo do not do.

If you want to play games why not get an X-box instead (or even as well).
Far, far cheaper and then you don't need Windoze on your PC either. ;-)
If you look at Matrox's whole product line, you'll see they are more active
in the 'quality' side of the graphics market - medical imaging, digital
video capture, etc. Leave the games for the toy manufacturers (Micro$oft)
and those with money to burn.

Go shove your Celeron piece of shit Xbox up your fucking ass. The only thing
the Xbox is good for are sports games or driving around in a circle games. I
couldn't consider driving a machine a sports game.

Gosh, you sound so intelligent ! I stand in awe wondering how I could
possibley be worthy to reply to you.
You can insult people and you can use foul language, you really are so very
grown up, aren't you ?
So, are you able to stand upright on your hind legs yet as well ?

I've got this strange compulsion to disagree with you a little on that, and
yet agree a little as well !
I have to agree with you that the X-box is particularly good for playing
games. That is, after all, exactly what it was designed for. It seems wierd,
Micro$oft are essentially a software company, but their best products are
hardware !
Anyway, the X-box is also good for quite a few other things than just
playing games. It is not too difficult to get Linux running on it, and once
you've got a decent op system the world's your oyster. The USB ports are
fine for keyboard and mouse. The 733 MHz Pentium-II is plenty good enough
for running an Oracle databse, or a Web Server (Apache) or doing Firewall
and security chores. How else could you get that spec of hardware for the
price ? I am currently investigating the possibility of getting BeOS
running on a X-box, which should be really interesting !
Unfortunately, we've drifted miles off-topic with this as the X-box doesn't
use Matrox graphics - it uses Nvidia. Shame !

Less resolution than the two Logitech MOMO steering wheels, one less axis
(you can't break and gas at the same time -- one cancels out the other), and
plastic mounted bearings instead of metal. I can only presume that you
haven't had a chance to use both a Microsoft and a Logitech MOMO. I'll
never go back to a Microsoft Force Feedback wheel -- it's so imprecise and
"plasticy", never mind that I couldn't break and gas at the same time to
keep the revs up, and thus lost precious time in racing games.
