While I've read that a few software DVD players supposedly work under
Windows 2000, I'm not having any luck with my G400 Max. PowerDVD 2.55
Trial reports Win2000 is not a valid operating system and refuses to
install. Cinemaster 99 (which I use under Win98) won't bring up the
install screen at all. I believe I also tried WinDVD but I can't find
it anymore ;-)

So what players (and versions) are known to work under Win2000?
Thanks!

power dvd 2.55 does install in win 2000. I have it running
perfectly..........

Also win dvd 2000 runs great in windows 2000.

If your desperate buy a H+ dvd decoder card, because the software dvd
station also runs perfectly in Win 2000.

Not on my system (Windows 2000 Pro release version). PowerDVD 2.55
Trial setup displays the following message and then exits:

"The Intel INF Installation Utility requires a supported chipset
platform running Windows 95* or Windows 98*. Check the System
Requirements section of the README.TXT file for more information."

Of course I can't read the docs unless the program is extracted.
Perhaps it's the TRIAL version which can't be installed? I will try to
locate the WinDVD 2000 program...

WinDVD 2000 don't work here, but powerdvd 2.5 and windvd 1.2860f (or
something) does.
