There is *NO* turbo gl present anywhere in the Powerdesk .
I have read numerous posts regarding Turbo GL, Unreal and PIII, but I cannot
find any details ie what Web Site has the info about Turbo GL. It doesnot
appear to be at the Matrox Site.
Please , anyone, could you enlighten/explain it to me? All about Turbo GL,
and where the info is, what it does and why.
Thanks,
Michael

I think the option is only given if the program detects a amd k7 or p3 cpu!
I have p3 and installed turbo gl, however I dont use any game which supports
it.

I have the latest drivers 5.30.007 and latest bios etc.
What you are saying must be right. A lot of posts are saying that you are
given an option to instal turbo gl when you instal the driver update, but
that never happened for me.
Another thing, don't you think it is odd that the Video card driver
installation process detects the games and then configures the game drivers?
What if you install the game after the drivers, which is usually what
happens ie you install op system, all drivers for devices, then you install
apllications like a game.
Anyway, have Unreal 225f patch on my machine. It is supposed to run in open
gl but it does not, only software or d3d modes.
It would be nice if Matrox had some better documentation on the G400,
instead of learning about things on Newsgroups.

Only 3 games are compatible - Quake 2, Quake 3, Unreal
Hardly worth stressing!

Is there a line in the pop up that says TurboGl manager? If not, you
are not running a PIII.

I do have a PIII, it is currently installed, and my bios detects it as a
PIII.
But the Turbo GL facility appears to be only available for Windows 98, and
not for 95 users.
I am running Windows 95. Thus the answer to the mystery. Will I upgrade??
Looks like I finally have a reason to.
Thanks to all that replied with their thoughts.
I still would like Matrox to improve the documentation of the products.
Where is the Information about TurboGL on their site? Where does it say in
the help files and readme files that win 98 is needed for TurboGL?? Has
anybody tried the online Tech Wizard? It seems the only problems Matrox is
aware of with the G400 MAX and Win 95 is related to either Expendable ,
Aliens Vers Predator games or a blank screen.
If anyone knows a better place where information on the G400 MAX is, please
point me to it.
