An earlier post recommended that someone upgrade both their
AGP drivers for WIN98 and their G400 drivers to help
improve performance?. I'm using Win 98 Second Edition and
a G400 32MB. Is there an update for system AGP drivers
then (not g400) I've never come across this. Any ideas?

If your motherboard chip set is made by VIA or some other non-Intel
company, then you need to install the AGP drivers for the chip set. If
you have an Intel 440BX or 440LX chip set, then Win98 includes the AGP
drivers and Intel hasn't released any newer ones. I don't know about the
newest Intel chip sets (810, 820, 840) in terms of AGP drivers.

Whats with the Intel warnings on these drivers on there site?

It states that these drivers are not for use by business or home use? They
go on to say
that they are intended for use by developers.

They do the same thing with the ATA drivers - whats going on - where does
one get
the latest drivers for say the CC820? They say contact the manufacturer -
well
the CC820 is made by Intel!

Note that Intel does not recommend using the bus mastering IDE drivers
for the 440LX/BX chipsets, with Win95 OSR 2.x or Windows 98. The drivers
are for older versions of Win95. This is because Microsoft has included
IDE bus mastering support for 440LX/BX chipsets in Win95 OSR 2 and
later. As indicated, the Intel install program will not install the
drivers under Win98, and will offer to restore the Microsoft BM drivers.
