Yes. I see they note that "This beta driver is not recommended for Socket 7
users."

Has anybody tried them? Benchmarks? How are they performing?

I have installed the 4.50 drivers (on Win98) and ran the 3D Winbench. Some
of the tests were improved by modest amounts (5 per-cent) but I noticed that
all of the tests that simply would not run under 4.26 are now running fine.

Does anyone wish to try those drivers on S7 or shall I dive in?

I have tried them on an FIC 2013 rev 2.0 and they seem to work alright. I
have not had a chance to benchmark them yet to see if they are faster or
slower.

I got about 3% improvement in 3DMark and about 6% improvement in Final
Reality over the 4.26 drivers.

Yes and they CRASHED MY SYSTEM !.. I got a general protection fault on reboot
but it was to fast to see. It took 3 trys to reload the 4.26 drivers but the
PowerDesk portion is still 4.50.

Please post your experiences.

Thanks.

Final reality crashed using 4.50 drivers, worked fine with 4.26... But Unreal
