I just installed a new 9800 pro in my Win2K game machine (P4 2.8ghz) 512MB.
Anyway, I always overclock stuff so of course I installed Radclock and
started turning up the MHZ on the 9800. The darn thing would barely
overclock from the default 378mhz Core and 337.5mhz Memory. If I go higher,
the display distorts. I saw guys with cards turned up to 500/500 on
futuremark results. What am I doing wrong?? Thanks.

Maybe try a different overclocker such as rage3dtweak?

Thanks Tim,
I tried RivaTuner. Several articles said that it works on ATI stuff
too, not just NVidia. I did crank the clock up to about 420 Core and 360
Mem. That's completely stable with no "disco lights" or distorions.
3DMark2003 v 330 = 5824 My previous card, GeForce 3 Ti200 3dMark2003 = 1018
So, I'm a happy camper :)

I know someone O/C their 9600 core to 500 Mhz but not 9800 which is 0.15
micron and seems unable to achieve this under room temperature.

You need an active cooler system to achieve 500/500, such as the Kryotech
http://www.kryotech.com/
