Storm Technology filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on October 21, 1998. According
to Sylvia Garcia at Storm, they stopped paying rebates sometime in July, so it looks like
any rebates sent in after then probably won't get paid - by Storm, that is. The good news
is, if you bought your Storm product at Best Buy, they >will< pay your rebate! Call
1-800-849-0444.

If you bought your scanner at CompUSA, give them a call at 1-800-332-9263. They might be
able to help you, although I don't have any first-hand knowledge of this.

In article <36429554...@mindmeld.idcomm.com>,

After much brooha and hoop jumping I spoke to a fellow at COMP USA who told
me that Storm Rebates are manafacturers rebates and are their responsibility.
He also had his manager back up his claim and went to far as to give a
Corporate Number of 1-800-278-4685 of which will not open until 9AM CST or 12
O'Clock EDT of which the number can be transfered to their rebate porgrams
office.

The telephone number above ( 1-800-332-9263 ) gives you the run around and
gives the 1-800-COMP USA number which gives you a local store, and the local
store gives the Corporate number I listed above. 1-800-278-4685 who will tell
you not to be to hopeful since it is not a rebate in conjunction with COMP
USA but the man said they may be able to assist but he was not to sure. Sorry
I had nothing new to report outside of a better Rebate Number but I will call
again tomorrow at noon time.
