I would love to be able to explain this behavior to them, as they get
quite frustrated with it. Thanks in advance.

A continuable error is almost never due to a paper jam so the perforations are
probably not the cause.
The most likely cause is a mismatch between the printer settings and the
printer driver and the application.
If they are using the manual feed tray the best thing to do is to set that tray
for paper size and paper type is "Any". You can do this from the printer
control panel, you also need to set this in the printer properties in the PC
control panel for each user (if networked you will need to do it in the server
or the computer to which the printer is directly attached if appropriate).
If you need more detail just let me know.

Tony - thank you so much for such a prompt reply! In an attempt to
follow your advice, I went to printer properties, device settings, and
did not see an option for 'Any' on settings for the Manual feed/Tray
1. We're using the PCL 6
driver for the printer. I will attempt to set this on the printer
itself tomorrow, but any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks so much!!!.

The easiest way to do this is to open the HP ToolboxFX, this will either be an
icon in the System tray that you double click or go to Programs (or All
Programs in Windows XP), click HP, click HP LaserJet 2015 Series, and then
click HP ToolboxFX. If the printer is networked the Toolbox FX application will
probably only be present on the PC that the printer is physically connected to
or on the server. To get at this on a server you will need to involve whoever
manages your network.
When you are in the toolbox you can set paper types and sizes for each tray, if
there is not an "Any" setting you will have to choose a paper type and size
that matches the media you are using - in this case the size (Letter?) and
Labels. It is a good idea to use the manual tray for labels by the way.
Don't hesitate to ask more questions.
