p5ad2 premium and second sata 2 hard drive

hi

i have an asus p5ad2 premium with 1011-12 beta bios on my old pc
i have an sata 2 drive 160 gb
and i would install another hard drive 500 go western digital sata 2
and in the bios the new hd is not seen

how make to see my new HD , in bios and after in Windows 7 32 bits ?
How configure correctly my bios ( sata but no raid )

activate ahci or not ?

??That mobo has 2 different SATA chipsets........
Have you loaded the drivers for both??
Which ones are you plugged into??

my mobo is not a p5ad2 E , but p5ad2 premium :)
i ve drivers silicon 3114 (5.5.03)
ite not installed
ahci activate , sata mode ( not raid)
hdd hitachi sata 2 is seen
hdd western digital caviar blue 500 go sata 2 ( not seen , in slave
with hitachi and alone in master )

ps : i don t want raid , one HD in master and other in slave

??check your manual.It seems you are using the Intel chipset SATA
connectors.
I think you need to set them to "standard IDE mode" in the BIOS
The other connectors are set to "RAID' mode by default but you can change
that by
setting the Silicon Image Controller in the BIOS to "SATA" mode
I would try the change first on the Silicon Image Controller then shut down
and hook up you new
HD.......restart and see if its detected in the BIOS.
