Have a GA-6BA Ver 3.0, F1 Bios, and need the Freq Ratio ( X ?) setting for
Intel Pentium III 1.0GHz , 256KB, 100MHz FSB. Have the settings for up to
PIII 600MHz but the version 3.0 board can take a 1.0Ghz processor? Thanks
in advance for your help.

The 1Ghz processor will work as long as its coppermine cored.

There is no need to set dipswitches for frequency as I recall, as the
process has fixed frequency.

When I took my 550 slot 1 out of a 6ba I just plugged my 1ghz in and it
worked without changing anything else (apart from going to latest bios 1st).

John,

My GA-6BA manual only shows DIP switch settings up to 950MHz (1,2,3&4 all
set to OFF). JP8 should be set for 1,2&3 OFF (no jumper connected) for
100MHz FSB.

The multiplier is fixed, so it should work independent of the switch
setting. But, if you want perfection then the new switch table is here (the
first item on the green list):
