Hi,

I want to upgrade my celeron 300A to a pentium III or celeron. My mobo is
GA-6BA rev. 2.4 and I also have asus s370-dl rev. 1.02 slotket. Current
bios is 2.9, and I have downloaded bios F1. I'm not certain which CPU to
buy, there are so many SLxxx numbers on intel website. I want to get at
least 800MHz of Pentium III or celeron. Could someone explain and tell me
which CPU to buy? Which online store is a good place to buy?

thank you
rob

Gigabyte web site says only rev 3.0 of GA-6BA boards support FC-PGA
(coppermine) processors up to 1100 MHz. There's no mention of rev. 2.4's
capability. However, my GA-6DXDS rev. 1.6 wasn't suppose to run 1100 MHz
coppermine and it does, perfectly.
Check out the new generation of slocket adapters capable of taking FC-PGA2
(Tualatin) processors up to 1.4 GHz:
