Nice rig. Stick with Gigabyte, at stock speed a very stable board
with good caps and well soldered slots.

Sorry, can't help as I still have my very effective X48-DS4 which is
nice and stable. Running about 3TB in drives, a 4870 and E8400 at
stock. If you pick well, your board will last you a long time.

thanx.

my current is a giga-byte.
the big differences in those board seems to be on board video or not.
the on board video one has 10/100/1000 ethernet.
the other 2 indicate different ethernet capabilities.

Almost the same boards with the UD7 being LARGER....
and having a few more options.
Check the size of the UD7 versus what can fit in your case

Don't buy it if you'll need a mouse in DOS...there's only one PS2 port.  The USB mouse can be activated in the BIOS but it won't work!  I contacted Gigabyte to ask how to get the mouse to work in DOS, the reply was there's only one PS2 port on the board so use a USB mouse.  I tried a Y-cable
with the mouse and keyboard on the Y..the keyboard worked in DOS but not the mouse.  I need a keyboard and a mouse in DOS (actually Caldera DOS) in order to use Drive Image.
