Anybody using this combo? I have a Micron Millenia that has a 7dx in it but
the USB chip was toasted by some static plus I can't use my Voodoo 3, the
screen flashes red at boot up with it installed. I had an old GA-6BA that
had a jumper setting for a Voodoo3 because of the current it needs and I'd
figure a modern board could handle it but that isn't the case. I'm thinking
of buying a 7dx+ because of cost issues but if the Voodoo3 won't work I'll
just buy an Asus board.

Voodoo 3 cards are 3.3 volt cards and they will not work with some modern
motherboards. You can read about it here:
http://www.anandtech.com/guides/viewfaq.html?i=82. If you want to buy a
motherboard to use with your Voodoo 3 you have to make sure it doesn't use an
Intel 845 or 850 chipset.

Ummmm yeah, I'm running an Athlon so that won't be a problem.
