I bought the above motherboard in January of this year and was curious if it
supports Coppermine Celeron or Pentium 3 processors? How can I find out
what revision of the board I have, and if it will take the above processors?

6ATA2 is a VIA 693 board, slot 1.

It supports 100 / 133 Mhz CPU's, and it does support Coppermine.

Actually, it supports even 933 Mhz..

Thanks for the reply! Am I correct in assuming from your response that ALL
of the CT-6ATA2 motherboards will support Coppermine, regardless of which
version of BIOS it has?

Presently, I have a Celeron 433 PPGA processor (on a Socket 370 to Slot 1
converter) but later on would like to replace it and throw a coppermine PIII
or Celeron on the board.

That's awesome to hear that it will go to 933MHz!!!

Hi !

ATA2 will support the PIII 1 Ghz as well. This CPU is due for Q4, but we
have tested it already....

Just check the website for the latest BIOS..

Revision of the board is usually on the bios chip - 6ata2* newish boards I
believe are rev F at the moment.

Great! Thanks to you and Danny for your help. Hey, I can handle AGP 2X if
it means having the potential to use a maximum of a 933MHz to 1000MHz CPU
down the road. That being the case, I'll probably have this board for quite
a while to come, as I'm impressed with the quality.
