I have a P2L97 board and use the ps2 port for my keyboard. Everytime I load a program and restart the computer, the keyboard won't work. I have to go back to the back of the computer pull the ps2 adaptor out and put it back into the ps2 port, then it works fine. This also happens when I change any system settings. Any idea what is going on? I do have a ps2 adapter connected to the AT type keyboard, but I didn't think the adapter could be the problem. TIA

Don't know what the problem could be, but I do believe it's a Very Bad Idea to plug and unplug ps/2 stuff (keyboard, mouse) when the computer is on. Or is this a myth ?

Try doing it without the adapter for a while, as I had a similar problem until I removed the ac Joystick from my mouse/keyboard. No, don't plug in any PS/2 device while the system is on. I saw someone do this and damage their mouse.
