Has anyone purchased from Computers 4 Sure before? They have some good
prices but I am not familiar with them. Any information is appreciated.

Thanks
Lyle

Yes.

I've ordered several times from them. I had a problem with a
discontinued item (it WAS shown as "out of stock" on their website)
which I ended up losing the shipping cost on. So, make sure that the
item you're buying is in stock and still available by calling their
toll-free number. But that advice applies to ANY mail-order oufit.
I've ordered several time since then and the only other drawback is that
I'm on the East Coast, and most of their merchandise ships from CA, so
UPS ground usually takes 5 days. I'm never in that much of a hurry
anyway-especially if it saves me BUCKS! All mechandise has been quality
in my experience.

Hi Lyle,

I purchase from Computers4sure.com all the time and have found them to be an
extremely reliable source. Their prices are amongst the lowest I have ever
found, and they usually drop ship directly from one of the major
distributors (Merisel, Ingram, Tech Data). This assures you of getting
first-tier merchandise (not surplus, overstock, returns, outdated models).
I particularly appreciate the fact that they never charge any amount over
the actual shipping costs and do not charge a restocking fee or otherwise
penalize you for returns. They are also very fast! If I order from them
today I will usually receive my order in 1-2 days.

The biggest negative for me is the fact that I live in CT where C4S is
headquartered and therefore have to pay sales tax even though I am
technically a reseller. C4S does not sell to resellers so I end up
purchasing as an individual and paying the sales tax. Another minor
irritant is the length of time they take to process returns and issue
credit. Even considering those negatives, I find myself using C4S more and
more as my first source and saving considerable time and money.

I am the senior partner in a computer network engineering corporation. We
have accounts with most of the major distributors and many manufacturers.
While we purchase a great deal of product, C4S must purchase a great deal
more. Most of the time the price I pay to purchase from C4S, even with the
sales tax, is less than our cost would be purchasing through distribution.
Most of our revenue is earned through consultation. We sell hardware
primarily as a convenience to our clients. When a client asks us for
recommendations on where to purchase - we tell them about C4S.

Hopefully this answers your question. By the way, we are in no way
affiliated with Computers4sure. :-) I just believe in giving credit to
where it is due. What they do - they do very well.

Good luck,

Anne
