Hello,

ive got a problem with the Power Management in the P2B and Windows 98.
Everytime i shutdown the PC with Start-Shutdown and restart it with
Power-on-button, Windows scans the Harddisk because of "the system was not
correctly shutdown last time"..

Any ideas?
Thanks
Alex

sounds like a poor windows install reinstall with the /v opition this is a
verify install it will solve alot of possible install problems

Thanks, but still not working. I reinstalled Win98 with option /v and have
still the same problem. Everytime i shut down the d... thing and turn the pc
on again, it says that it havent
been shut down correctly. The only solution till now is to disable Power
Management in the Mobo-Bios..

Any clues?
Thanks
Alex

It is a key in the registry that controls the shutdown. Running msconfig is
the easiest way to alter it, only 2 settings: on/off ;-)
