Asus p3v4x Bios rom checksum error

For the second time my board has been failing with a
Bios rom checksum error

The Problem is that i do not get any signal to my video card
a Asus v6800 deluxe and the comp says 3 bibs and 2 "brummings".
(should indicate an error with the video card)

I used an old card to get a signal to the screen and then i could see
the following message "Bios rom checksum error".

The first time i succeded in flashing a new bios and everything worked.
But this time when i try to flash it gives me an error that says
"error - flash memory unknown" and then the Aflash program stops.

Is there anything to do except for returning the board.

And why does the bios crash.
According to Norton (latest updates)
their shouldn't be any virus on the system.
