Okay, what happens if I plug in tag RAM and I don't need it?

Nobody ever talks about that. They say don't do it, but what are the
consequences? Will my puter smoke or will it just not boot or what?
The reason I ask is that I'm not 100% sure that my cache module has the tag
ram on it, and I've got 128 megs of ram installed. My coast module only has
2 big chips and one smaller one on it, but do I trust that as not having the
tag ram like everybody says?

Get a tool like ctcm from ct magazine and check wether it finds any
uncached memory or not. When I remember right, Tom Pabst had this even
translated to english, so you might even be able to read the output ;)
