Is someone running a TUSL2-C (815EP, B0 Stepping) with a big HDD like a 160,
200, 250 or even 300 GB HDD on primary IDE?

I can't buy an extra controller because there is no free PCI slot...
And an extern FireWire case is expensive...

You can translate this page at babelfish.altavista.com

http://www.asuscom.de/support/FAQ/faq076_32gb_ide_hdd.htm

or this page says you need at least 1012.001 BIOS.

http://www.asus.it/support/english/techref/48bithdd/index.aspx

Still, a confirmation from a real user would help...

I've got a couple of extra new external USB enclosures IIRC. Lemme know
if that may help. sdlomi

Yes, I ran a WD1600JB as master and a WD800JB as slave on the primary IDE,
with BIOS ver.1012 on my TUSL2-C PIII 1Ghz, before I got my P4P800.

The only problem I had was setting the HD jumpers correctly on the then new
WD Special Edition Hard Drives.

Incorrectly jumpered, in BIOS, it only read 32GB......other than that,
........the 160GB read correctly,.....past the 137GB barrier, no problem,
with the Dual Master jumper setting used on the Master with the Dual Slave
jumpered on the Slave, Western Digital, that is.......

The TUSL2-C is a fine board, but I'm really having fun with my P4P800
Deluxe!

Thank you.

This Page was exactly what i needed. And when a 160GB HDD works a 200 GB HDD
will work too.

Hehe, let's go shopping....
