Yes I know it works fine for lots of you but some people were, like
me, finding their P2B wouldn't come out of a suspend with ACPI in
Win98. Did any of you find out what was wrong.
Personally I'm running a non overclocked PII 350 on a standard P2B
with bios final 1007. With BIOS power management off using ACPI in
Win98 if I hit suspend or set up timed suspend the machine won't wake
up to keyboard or mouse. The only recourse is to reset.
Is there some common factor for those of us having this problem?
I have:
Matrox G200 with latest driver and bios
V.90 Zoom modem
TeraSound PCI sound card
Cheers

used(?) directx 6 + acpi + agp + suspend -> not coming out of suspend
search for acpi and agp in the ms knowledge base.. Just a thought,
maybe directx 6.1 might fix this..

p.s. The article is:

Eventualy solved this problem last night on my TX97-XE:
In Bios setup, enable power management but set all power-down
options to 'never'.
Set Power switch <4 sec to "soft off"
In Device Manager, set power switch function to "Suspend"
So far this has worked for me, weather standby is entered via s/ware
timer, ATX power switch or 'Start' button.
Give it a try and please post results.
John.
