Running the P2B board trying to hit the magical mystical 504mhz. out of
a 300A celery but system wont post. I'm running the b21 manuver as well
as the voltage adjustmen manuver to 2.2v with pin A120, A119, B119 all
covered. BIOS recognizes 2.2 vcore. At 450 mhz. it runs fine. At 464 it
gets past post and into OS load (win98) and crashes to a black screen
(any suggestions?) . But when running at 504mhz. it wont even post(any
suggestions as well.) Board works fine. Running 64 PC-100 compliant :)
just need to get the celery to post and work now :).... hopefully at
504.

thx for any help

for shame on evil comments

If it won't post @ 504 then its prolly your memory it can't run @112FSB and
just to let u know u don't need to cover B21 with an asus p2b... The only
way that u will be able to post@504 will prolly be to get better memory than
what u have already.. I have a P2B with a celeron @504 @2.2V although in
order for me to use the 133FSB I'll need better memory but the chances of
the 300a running on a 133FSB I would say is impossible without some
extraordinary cooling.
You could try to raise the voltage more to see if it will post but I doubt
that will work I would put it down to your memory, I know u may not want to
hear that but thats what it looks like...

My Celery: 300A at 2.2V (taped) on ASUS P2B, 4.5x103 MHz

Cooling is the right way to get up to 504 and higher! At 112 MHz FSB you
should try cooling the BX-Chipset! It is getting pretty hot inside the case
at 504. So try to cool the case also! I am working at the 463 MHz burn in
sequence, running the celery at about 50°C for quiet a time. So I think I
will try the 112MHz without cooling the Chipset...

Happy overclocking!

Nothing to do about it. It just the luck of the draw. Mine posts at 504 and
I can get into the Bios too on the p2b @ 2.0 v but it stops just before
cdroms are detected. Must be an I/O thing. Maybe. Will try again. Although
I'm pretty happy with 450/464 - both work equally well.
