Hi,

I just built a WX6-based PC for my Dad with a SmartLink HAMR 5600 AMR Modem,
64MB PC100 SDRAM and a Celeron 366A @ 550. It works flawlessly except for
one thing. The PC's clock "loses" about one hour every day. This is no big
deal really since I could install a clock synchronizer application to fix
the error whenever he goes online but I am interested to know what might be
causing this. This is the second time I've heard of this problem (my bosses
computer did this too under Windows 98) and I would realy like to fix it
this time. So far I've removed the modem, run the Celeron at 366 and tested
the onboard CMOS battery voltage. I really think I got a bad board and the
RTC is bad. What do you think?

Seems this behavior is more widespread than just the WX6 then. Can anyone
shed some light on this problem? ABIT folks? Anyone?

i have a bx6 rev 1 and it started doing a similar thing. it's not "losing"
time as per say, like where i notice say 5 minutes per hour lost. instead,
its perfect, perfect, perfect, then the next time i look its exactly one
hour behind. seems to happen once or twice a week. very annoying. ive
looked for patterns, and still have none. but i am suspicious of one
thing... are you people running nav 2000? it may be coincidence, but it
seems to have started around the same time i installed it.

So this appears to be a Windows 98 issue rather than a mobo issue. I'll
comb the Microsloth site and post anything I find. Thanks all!
