Hi,

Here is my problem, I have recently bought a fujitsu MPG3102AH - 10gig
ATA100.

But it will only boot on IDE channels 1 & 2.

When connected to IDE 3 or 4 the drive is detected correctly and is set as a
boot disk in the Highpoint BIOS, also the first boot device in the main
BIOS is set to ATA100RAID but the PC just stops after " verifiing DMI pool
data".

I have several other disk of various standards which all work when connected
to ide 3 or 4 except when this fujitshu drive is connect to these channels
as either master or slave.

Can anyone help with this

My setup:

Abit KT7-a raid
AMD 1gig Athlon
windows Me
award Bios - version YH
highpoint Bios v 1.10.b
3dfx voodoo 4 agp

You should have a single drive to boot from, and not boot off your RAID
system. So my advise is buy another 10gig and put it on IDE1 and make it
your boot drive, then use your RAID for whatever you want other than booting
from it.

each to their own but I boot from the raid every day running 98SE *on the
raid* with a partitioned raid.

Why not boot from the raid? I boot from my raid with Win2k. It runs great.
