I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.
I would like one keyboard to control two PCs. Btw, KVM is not an option.
KM (keyboard-mouse) may be, but I've never come across one.
A little background. I have two computers each with their own monitors,
keyboards, and mice. I can access the server PC using Win2K terminal
services (from my main workstation) for everything except one function -
Music. My server houses all music (MP3s) and is my primary WinAmp player.
Hence, I have WinAmp playing on my server and all play lists, visuals, etc.
can be viewed on the monitor opposite my main computer and 21" monitor. Not
only am I saving resources on my workstation, but I can also have my visuals
up full-time. I can't imagine this not being a significant scenario in the
future.
I'd like to be able to use one keyboard and mouse for both PCs so that, on
my server, I can play music, manipulate play lists and files, and engage my
visuals (all other server keyboard/mouse requirements are handled through
Win2K terminal services). I was thinking that there might be a wireless
[RF] unit that would be able to control two PCs. Obviously, each PC would
have to use a separate wireless frequency.
Is my desire fulfillable with today's current technology?
TIA,
Rob A

Why? You can use a KVM switch as a KM switch.

For a situation like that, I'd use one of the following:
a) pcAnywhere http://www.symantec.com/pcanywhere/
b) KVM switch
c) MP3 Organiser http://mp3organiser.com/mp3organiser/
You could also take a look at an Ethernet player
