The drive is recognized in the bios.
I tried jumpering it as a single as well as cable select.
I tried creating a single partition of 80 GB.
I ran WD's latest Data Lifeguard but it granted me no insight.
Both the old 40 GB drive and the new 160 GB drive are mounted in a Kingwin
KF23-IPF IDE mobil rack. I can plug in the 40 and it works fine.
I tried installing Win2K to the 160 with the same result.
Ubuntu 7.10 installs and runs ok. (Unfortunatly I need Auto Cad 2008)
Any ideas why I can't install Win XP64?
