Uploading to PC by WiFi

I am sure that I previously had my IXUS 255HS uploading to my PCs but
now I get 'Communications Error' and it disconnects.
I just set up Canon Image Gateway and can upload to that using the WiFi.
I keep suspecting Norton is blocking the camera, I tried turning off
Smart Firewall and Intrusion Prevention but failed completely to connect
then.
Computer is Windows 7 Home Premium.
I am sure I am overlooking something simple, any suggestions what to check.
