I can't find any reviews on this drive anywhere online. Can I get some
personal opinions? Who makes it? On HP's website it says it has a 2 meg
buffer but some people here say it has a 4 meg buffer. So which is it? Also
how does the buffer size affect burning? Is 2 meg bad? And last but not
least does anyone know what company actually manufactures it?
Thanks
The second is made by LG (Goldstat) and has a 2 meg buffer. This one is
identified in Windows as 9100b
The third one is made by Philips and i don't know the specs but it shows up
in windows as 9100c
I own the Sony model and it works really well, supports DAO, Reads and
writes raw data etc.
The thing with these 3 drives is they are all sold as 9150 i, so i guess you
have to open the box to know which is which
