I still use occasionally QBasic in my XP Home edition machine to run
some programs that use the full screen to create diagrams. But I cannot
capture them as I used to with the Print Scrn in Win 98.

Is there a software that would do the trick?

Since you don't say what happens when you try, it's impossible to say
what might be wrong on your end. All I can say is that if I run a full
screen command session, Print Screen will capture the screen contents
and I can paste it into whatever I want.

Maybe it's a QBasic problem rather than an XP problem. Have you tried
running your progam in DOSBox (http://www.dosbox.com/)?

Over here when I paste what the Print Screen got in OOo Draw I get an
empty frame. I am surprised to hear that you can capture an image from
the full screen of a DOS program in Windows XP.

Not yet. I am also considering Microsoft Virtual PC. But I would like to
have advise from someone who has tried them.

When I paste a Print Screen of a full screen directory listing into
Libreoffice Draw I get text. If I paste a Print Screen of a full screen
DOS game I paste a picture.

Just press the PrintScreen key, then go to a program (like Irfanview) that can
record graphics, and press Ctrl V

Adjust size and save.

http://www.softwarelabs.com/help/source/fulldosscreen.html

"Full DOS Screen Note: It is not possible to capture graphics from full
DOS screens under Windows XP. Since this is a limitation of the
operating system itself, no screen capture software can get around it.
However Microsoft is offering a solution with their product "Virtual PC
2004" for free. Click here for details."

I really don't know what you guys are talking about, it seems we are not
talking about the same thing.

Techsmith Snagit Pro 10.0.0 is what I use. It has a scroll function
that scrolls as far down as that page goes. Then chop off what you
need. Very fast and accurate.
