I've managed to do this before but I've had a longish period of being a
passive consumer computer-wise and can't work out what I did.
I once successfully managed to create a new Windows 2000 CD using nLite
and my Dell recovery CD. I'm sure I deleted something from the CD's
files that would create a gripe if you tried to use the original CD on a
non Dell. What would it have been? I tried deleting the folder named OEM
to no avail.
