My battery is going weak. I find I have two choices for replacing it. I
can go through the maze of Palm support. (Don't worry about the "if you
are out of warranty we will charge you for support" message at
866-935-7256; they will tell you about the battery repair without
charging you to find that out.) And find out the will charge $150 to do
it, you have to send it in, they will replace your device with another
refurbished device, and you will loose all your applications and data
(you should be able to sync with your Palm desktop to get this back),
and eventually you will get your palm back. Or you can search for
Tungsten E2 battery and find you can buy a battery for $15 plus another
few bucks for torque wrenches and a cover opening tool and shipping, my
total came to $30. The site warns you opening your Tungsten voids the
warranty. But if you battery is wearing out then no doubt you are past
warranty anyway and if not have Palm fix it under warranty. I'm not
advertising so I didn't post the site I found but it should be easy.
Good luck,
Chas
