All older entries in which I have used this field still have it.

But new blank entries no longer show up with it ... and I can't find it
in Card>Add Field or Card>Add Field>Template or
Contacts>Preferences>Template.

Does anyone know anything about this? It was a standard field for
years. Now I can't find it anywhere.

Surely someone knows about this?

That field also had a drop-down menu to add custom-named dates.

Now there is no way to add *any* kind of date.

Just when I was about to transfer this thread over to comp.sys.mac.apps
so I would get SOME response, I figured it out for myself:

Contacts does still have the addable field "Date", which can then be
given any custom name, including "added". (I hadn't noticed "Date".)

I did this, and in fact added it to the template.
