1)
What AHS acronym stands for ?
I'm doubtful which version to dnls (patito feo) "plain" vs AHS.

on allacronym I find misterious things like
Advanced Habbo Security
(which, if ever was the correct one, does not explain
nothing to me).

tnx for any clarification

2)
my existing MX (18.3) version, not used for 69 days, now
refuses to run X
(complaining about nVidia drivers, but I cannot capture
manually the long and vague, to me, screens).
It let me login in a text terminal but StartX command fails.

How could I restore manually the nouveau driver ?
(either from inside "live" MX console or from outside, from
this same machine where I run Debian Stretch as main distro
and I "see" MX partition .... are there some config files to
edit and restore NOUVEAU default driver and see if this
solve X server problem ?)

A quick search leads to ...
https://9to5linux.com/mx-linux-19-1-released-with-new-advanced-hardware-support-iso
Normal updates plus newer kernel and graphics stack for newer AMD and Intel hardware.
